    Filing Online: Common Questions

How does filing my taxes online with you work?

First you complete the questionnaire on this page. It tells us your filing status, the type of income you had and whether you have dependents, so we can prepare before we talk. Then a member of our team contacts you, usually by phone or WhatsApp, to request your documents and clarify anything missing.

Once we have everything, we prepare your return and go over the result with you—refund or balance due—before anything is sent to the IRS. You approve and sign, and we file electronically. You can still visit the office at any point if you prefer to finish in person.

Is it safe to send my tax information online?

The questionnaire only asks for general information, not your Social Security number or bank details. Sensitive documents are collected separately, and our team will tell you the secure way to send them.

As a rule, never send Social Security numbers, W-2s or bank information through regular email, text message or social media—for any tax preparer. If you are ever unsure whether a message really comes from us, call the office at 915-301-0139 before sending anything.

Can I file taxes for previous years online?

Yes. The questionnaire lets you select the tax year or years you need. Filing past-due returns is important: if you are owed a refund, you generally have three years from the original due date to claim it, and if you owe, filing stops the failure-to-file penalty from growing.

For older years, it helps to have your W-2s and 1099s for that year. If you don’t have them, we can explain how to request a wage and income transcript from the IRS that shows what employers reported.

What happens after I submit the form?

Your answers go directly to our team in El Paso. During tax season we contact most people within one business day. If you selected Spanish as your preferred language, a Spanish-speaking team member will reach out.

Keep your phone nearby and save our number, 915-301-0139, so you recognize the call. If you don’t hear from us, call or send us a WhatsApp message and mention that you completed the online form.
